The TechGuys : Advent 4211 Updated Recovery Backup creator

Summary

This is an update for the Advent 4211 recovery backup creator tool. This utility allows you to create a backup of your Recovery Solution on a wide range of newer USB pen drives or SD cards.

Due to security measures present on your Advent 4211 you need to run the installer from within the TechGuys recovery utility.

To do this.

Please remove all external devices from your computer, this includes USB floppy drives, printers or CD/DVD drives.
Insert your flash media into the PC (either USB pen drive or SD card).
Download the Advent 4211 Recovery Tool by clicking the link above or clicking here. Please note the location you choose to save the file.
Once the file has finished downloading, open the file in Windows® (by double clicking on it) and click on Extract All Files from the blue bar on the left of the window as shown below:
Extract all of the files to your flash drive or SD card by clicking browse as shown:

You will then need to Browse... to your USB Flash Drive or SD Card (By default this will be D: ) before clicking Next >
Once the files have finished extracting you need to start the Recovery Backup either: To do this either
- Double-click the TechGuys Recovery icon on your desktop or
- Click Start > All Programs > The TechGuys > TechGuys Recovery
You will be asked to close any open programs. Click OK to restart the PC.
After your computer has restarted it will automatically load the recovery program and display the TechGuys Recovery Wizard.
From the main menu select Advanced Options and click the next arrow >
From the Advanced Options menu click Command Prompt and then click the next arrow >
After a few seconds the command prompt will open. From here type C: and press Enter to access your USB flash drive or SD card.
Type install and press Enter. The recovery process will start and automatically install the updated Recovery creation tool.
Type Exit and press Enter to return to the Advanced Options menu.
Remove your USB flash drive or SD card.
Click the left arrow < and then choose Exit and Restart computer. And your computer will restart and load into Windows as normal.
